Project Cookie Monster is a project where students take their favorite cookie recipe and analyze it and break it down to calories per serving.
This projects goal is to bring awareness of students health and how to help them help themselves make good food choices.

Project Cookie Monster:

The following is an example of the forms used in class and student use them during their lab research. It takes them to the recommended website but does not confind them to using just this one but for modeling purposes I have them follow along with me on line the first time.

The goal to be able to take a recipe, break it down to its ingredients and analyze the calories per serving.

Students will apply problem solving skills, conversion of units of measure in customary and/or metric system.  The learner will apply math skills in real-life situation.  With the growing concern of children health the students will be encouraged to make healthy choices and consider positive consequences of a healthy life style.
